It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald William Ostle on Sept 13, 2021. Gerry was born in Victoria and spent most of his life in Nanaimo. He worked as a Pipefitter at Harmac Mill but can be best remembered as an avid fisherman and was a long-standing member of the Nanaimo Yacht Club as well as the Nanaimo Curling Club.
Gerry is predeceased by his father Bill Ostle and mother Antoinette Wikene.
He is survived by his spouse Sandra Ostle; brother Raymond Ostle, Sister-in-Law Cheryl Ostle, daughter Tonnie Trim, son-in-law Lee Trim, son Jim Ostle, daughter-in-law Kris Ostle; grandchildren Dallas Trim, Jacqueline Trim, Allison Ostle, and Kegan Ostle.
The family would like to thank all his friends and family for their kindness and support at this most difficult time. Due to COVID restrictions a small private celebration of life will be held at the Nanaimo Yacht Club.
