Gerald (Jerry) Michael Pockiak
at the age of 71, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2014, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. He is survived by loving wife Susan of 36 years, children Derrick (Jessica) Pockiak, Lori (Bill) Yoachim, and grandchildren Samantha Yoachim and Grace Pockiak, Sister-in-law Carole Pockiak. Predeceased by father Michael Pockiak, mother Jessie Ripley, and brother Bill Pockiak. He was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on April 12, 1943. He lived his life between Saskatchewan and British Columbia and spent his final years settled in Nanaimo. He worked for many years in sales and as an entrepreneur. Jerry’s greatest joy apart from family was the countless hours spent on his many boats. He retired at the age of 56, to spend time on his boat “Sea Ya” and vacation with wife Susan.
