October 17, 2007

Georgia passed away peacefully at Qualicum Manor in Qualicum Beach after a short illness.

Born to Vyvien (Ben) Ployart and Jenny May Ployart (nee Sharp) at Berwyn, Alberta, Georgia spent her youth living at Bowser, the Comox Valley and at her father’s coastal logging operations. During their marriage they enjoyed frequent camping trips with family and friends as well as travelling abroad. After Norm passed away, Georgia married Marcel Percevault in 1990 at which time she moved to Nanaimo, travelling and spending time at Horne Lake with Marcel and his family until he also passed away.

Georgia was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and had been a member of the Women’s Institute and Royal Canadian Legion. Georgia was an accomplished artist and was a student of Sybil Andrews for many years. She was a skilled quilter and crafter, teaching herself how to knit at the age of 86.

Georgia was predeceased by her husbands Norman Webber in 1988, Marcel Percevault in 2006 and her only child, Rosalie Lapensee, in 2004. She is survived by her granddaughters Connie Law (Bill) of Comox, Terry McCune (Stewart) of Denman Island and great-granddaughters Megan, Danielle, Rachel and Emily.

She will also be missed by her step-children, Bruce Percevault (Pam), Lyle Percevault (Liz), Gloria Gustafson (Jim) and Margot Devesa (Jaimie) and their families as well as sisters-in-law Ruth Gagnon (Ray), Millie Messum, Lila Lewis (Jack), Alma Butters, Mauri Webber, Betty Webber, Vi Webber, Isabel Percevault and their families.
