HARVEY, George Thomas

August 30, 1935 -August 12, 2014

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather George Thomas Harvey after a courageous battle with cancer on August 12, 2014. Born on August 30, 1935 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. George is survived by his loving wife Betty-Mae, son David (Tracy), daughter Jennifer Godley (Brian), grandchildren Jeff Godley, Amy Carss (Pat); brother Bob Harvey (Bess); sisters and brothers-in-law Catherine and Leo Gauder, and Colin and Vivian Cameron and numerous nieces and nephews.

George was a well-respected machinist, apprenticing at Nanaimo Foundry. He was a very gifted craftsman and model railroader as well as First Harewood Cubmaster.

Special thanks to Vivian and Bryon and Miriam Calverly for their loving support of George and our family as well as the Cancer Clinic, nurses and doctors of 5th floor NRGH and all staff at Wexford.

No services at George’s request. A tea will be announced at a later date.
