NAYLOR, George Robert
born on November 23, 1923 in Nanaimo, BC, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2004 in Nanaimo Regional Hospital. He is predeceased by his wife Bernice Muriel in 1977, and two brothers Thomas in 1988, and John in 2003. George is survived by his children Brian (Tracy), Kevin, Susan (Glen Whitta), and Cindy (Otto Bohati), four grandchildren Aimee, Claire, Lindsay, and Adam. George is also survived by four sisters Eleanor, Margaret, Mae (Lyn) Bird, and Betty Ann (Mario) Feltrin, numerous nieces, and nephews. George was a plumber by trade for 11 years starting with R. H. Ormand, and moved into management with Crane Supply, then Engineering at Plumbing Supplies. He retired in 1990 after 30 years of management from Westburne. George had a lifetime hobby gained from his father of racing pigeons with the Nanaimo Racing Pigeon Club. A funeral service will be held for George on Friday, May 7, 2004 at 1:00pm, at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC. following the service, George will be laid to rest with his wife in the Nanaimo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in George’s memory to the BC Cancer Foundation.
