George P Toomey (95) passed away peacefully May 5th, 2019 at Wexford Creek Seniors Community with his family by his side. George served over 26 years in the army, (including WW2 and 2 tours as a UN Peacekeeper in Egypt in 1959) followed by 18 years at BCFerries.
George was an ardent golfer, finally giving up the game at 92. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Yvonne, his son, Richard (Pat) and his daughter Dianne; his grandchildren Roy, Alan, Nicole, Aimee and Marcy; and his great grandchildren RJ, Cashiuss and Jailah.
