PELLIZZARI, Gail Elaine
(nee Fedje)
Passed away April, 23, 2005 at the age of 61, after a long journey with cancer. Born April 11, 1944 in Port Alberni, Gail grew up in Nanaimo where she developed a passion for horses. She received her BA from UBC and taught high school before returning to Nanaimo and fulfilling her dream of a life's work with horses. She built G.P. Cottonwood Stables and over 30 years developed it into a riding stable where her love for horses and quest for further knowledge were central to its atmosphere. Her spirit for life and her way with people were her essence. Gail will live on in all that she taught us, friends, family and students. During her struggle with cancer her attitude and positive energy surrounded all who were with her- she lived life in every breath. Though taken from us early, she lived a wonderful life, with no regrets. Gail is survived by her husband Jim Dwinnel, daughter Selena, son Justin, mother and father Bea and Olaf Fedje and sister Dolores Beban and family. She will be greatly missed.
"Mom, you inspired us through life and your memory inspires us still."
The family wishes to thank everyone who has lent their support and our deepest thanks to the wonderful healthcare workers in Nanaimo, Victoria and Vancouver who eased the journey - you were a blessing. An informal celebration of Gail's life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 7 at her farm, 3735 Jingle Pot Road, Nanaimo. If desired, donations in Gail's memory may be made to the Cancer Society
