Jancowski, Frederick Lenard
passed away peacefully in his sleep at Nanaimo Regional Hospital on September 14, 2003 aged 84 years. Fred is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Lucy; daughters Evelyn (John) Jancowski-Walsh, & Ria (Alan) Gerla; sons Mike (Alice) & Chris Jancowski; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred worked all of his life in the towboat industry as a marine engineer. Fred will be sadly missed by his loving family and many friends. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo on Friday, September 19, 2003 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Blair Haggart officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetic Foundation in Fred's memory would be appreciated.
