With great sadness we announce the passing of Franc Komar who passed away in Nanaimo, BC.
Predeceased by his loving wife Antonia Komar on June 3, 1991.
Franc and his wife arrived in Canada in 1958. Franc started working with CP Rail for sometime and then he moved to logging for Macmillan Bodel and from there he got a job at Harmac where he finished his career as a crane operator. He then retired and enjoyed fishing and camping.
As time grew on he took up gardening and he was great at it. Also he enjoyed doing pig roasts for all sorts of people.
Franc was also a veteran and member of the Branch 10 Legion.
Franc is survived by his daughter Marijana (Norm), grandson Luke (Kristen) Oliver and his great grand daughter Mackenzie Oliver and his best buddy, Trouble.
Franc you will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Branch 10 Legion Building fund in Franc's name.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
