Estelle Cusson peacefully passed away Wednesday, 6th March 2013 while looking at the setting sun, in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger in 2000; and her siblings: Lloyd (2009), Olive (2006) and Georgina (2010). She was born in Nanaimo, 13th March 1918. She lived in the family home in Lantzville, caring for herself and her family up to Christmas 2012, at which time her strength began to fail her. She taught school for thirty-eight years, most of them in School District 68. Her immediate family, all living in Lantzville and Nanaimo, are daughter, Rogina Oliver and her husband Doug; René Cusson and his wife, Carolyn; three grandchildren, Jaime (Heather) and Curtis Skipper and Céitinn Cusson, She is also survived by a few nieces and nephews.
Thanks to the wonderful staff at NRGH and staff from Home and Community Care who have cared for Estelle during her recent hospital visits. Thanks, as well, to Doctors Davies and Roe for their fine care over the years.
