Knott, Ernest (Ernie) L.
of Sooke, born July 7, 1919 in Nanaimo, BC passed away December 22, 2003 in Victoria. Survived by his wife Freida, daughter Juanita and Ayala, son David, grandson Chet and great granddaughter Ashley, his sister Katherine Antrim and nieces and nephews. Ernie was an early graduate of Q.B.H.S. excelling in softball and football He served in the RCAF during WWII. He was a founding member in the I.W.A. and spent his working life connected to Forestry. He was an avid gardener and beekeeper. A Memorial service will be held Sunday, January 11 at 2PM at Metchosin Hall, 4401 William Head Road, Victoria. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Peace, Social Justice and Environmental Organizations.
