Poulsen, Erling Harold
1920-2005
Erling passed away January 4th, on his 85th birthday at Nanaimo General Hospital, with his family by his side, after a brief battle with multiple myeloma. Erling is survived by his wife Mary, four children-Marion Winfield, Marlene Ham, Peter and Douglas Poulsen and their families; two sisters - Inez Hendriksen and Elizabeth Bunting and nieces Karen and Ruth; four step children- Pamela Minter, Joan Wilson, Jill Walsh, and Kevan Griffith and their families. Erling will also be sadly missed by his many friends on Gabriola and in Nanaimo. Erling worked in construction, both commercial and residential, in the Nanaimo area and the north Island. Erling loved fishing, beach combing and bird watching. he and Mary spent many happy years on Gabriola Island in their waterfront home. They traveled extensively, spending their winters in the south, in Europe or on cruises. Family and friends will gather at a later date to bid him farewell.
