Emily Leblond
March 14, 1933 ~ Jan. 7, 2016
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Emily Leblond (nee Neave). Born and raised in Nanaimo, she had the privilege of serving as May Queen in 1945. She worked for 16 years at Nanaimo Hospital and after retiring, volunteered with Crime Stoppers. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald Gilmour in 1971, her son, Larry Gilmour in 2007 and brother Butch Neave (2007) and Bill Neave (2008). She is survived by her loving husband, Marcel; daughter, Linda (Doug) Bleiler; step-daughter, Tanja (Jordan) Beveal and family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
