Else Elverhoy
June 23, 1921 ~ November 21, 2016
Else Elverhoy was born June 23, 1921 in Moss, Norway and passed away November 21, 2016 in Nanaimo, B.C., in her 95th year.
In 1953, she and her husband, John and son Rino moved from Norway to Victoria, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1975. She is survived by her son Rino (Patricia), granddaughter Debby, sister (Berit, in Norway) and four nieces (Brigette, Ellen, Tone and Trine, all in Norway).
After a short time in Victoria, she worked as a Matron with the Victoria Police Department for a number of years. In 2012, she moved from her Victoria condo to Berwick on the Lake in Nanaimo, as she was needing some care. On August 2, 2016, she moved to Dufferin Place as more care was needed.
We wish to thank the care workers at Berwick, especially Arlene and Jenny for their excellent care while she was there and VIHA and the care staff in the Birch Unit of Dufferin Place for their compassionate care. Also wish to thank Sand’s Funeral Home for their help in making all the arrangements.
There will be a grave side service at Royal Oak Burial Park, Victoria, B.C., 2:30 pm, December 16, 2016, where she will rest beside her husband, John.
She will be missed by her family and friends.
