Ellen Dixon (nee Gough) passed away in Eden Gardens on July 24, 2017 at age 85. She was a native daughter born in Nanaimo in 1932 where she lived practically all her life. She had a normal school life, graduating from John Shaw High School, and was married in 1954 to Victor Dixon who predeceased her in 1995.

At one time Ellen was a telephone operator, grocery store associate, and had a car franchise with her husband. She and her husband were member of the Nanaimo Yacht Club and in 1972 were successful in winning the World International Bathtub Race. They were also active members of the Gyro Club.

Following her husbands death in 1995 she was active in several organizations including Old Age Pensioners Organization. S.P.C.A. and the Cancer Society.

She will be sadly missed by her nieces, Elizabeth, Ruth and Darlene as well as her in laws

Ron Shirley and Gerald and her friend Fred and many more who knew her well.

Family & friends would like to extend a special thank you to Drs Forrester and Fletcher along with the staff at Eden Gardens for their special care of Ellen.
