Betty left us on June 3, 2018 to join her beloved husband, Roy, who she married on February 8, 1960. In her younger years she played softball and later she was an avid bowler. She loved animals, especially cows and dogs, and volunteered in East Wellington community association as treasurer for many years.
With Roy she worked as hard as anyone could building many houses and doing the hard work of farming. Betty, Roy and the family enjoyed many happy times at their retreat at Horne Lake where Betty actually relaxed with her family.
She is survived by her son, Russell (Heather), grandchildren, Ryan, Mark, Jordynn and Braelynn and her daughter, Marie, grandsons, Daniel and Coleby (Stephanie) and great granddaughter, Scartlett, as well as her twin sister, Peggy Thompson and younger brother, Billy Russell.
An internment will be held at a later date and a family gathering as per Betty's request.
