IN LOVING MEMORY: Elizabeth Howes, friends as "Betty" passed away at Eden Gardens in Nanaimo, BC, on January 14, 2018.
Betty will be sadly missed by her four children: John, Jo-Ann, Eileen and Melinda; six grandchildren: Scott, Erin, Sarah, Jody, Dustin and Kerry; three great grandchildren; as well as extended family.
Betty would normally be found in her favourite sunny spot on her deck overlooking her garden, drinking coffee. She also loved playing Bingo, swimming at Colliery Dam, going to Bible studies, walking in the forest behind her house with her dog and tending to her amazing garden oasis.
Betty lived life to the fullest until Alzheimer's slowly took it away from her.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to relatives, friends, Nurses and Care aids for their assistance these last few years and for their continued support during this time.
A funeral service in memory of Betty will be held on February 24, 2018, at 12:00 pm at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 394 Shepherd Avenue, Nanaimo, BC. Reception to follow.
