Elizabeth Buxton (Betty)
Betty passed away Christmas morning with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerry (of 56 years) in 1990.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donna (D’Arcy) and son, Nick.
Grandchildren: Shannon (Terry), Doug (Sandra), Colleen (Tony), and Scott.
Great grandchildren: Nicole, Ryan (Sarah), Michael, Bradley and Gabe.
Betty’s great grandparents arrived in Nanaimo on the Princess Royal in 1854 from England. Betty was born October 3rd, 1912, in Nanaimo. She was a kind, compassionate lady whose glass was always full.
As a young girl she belonged to “The Pals.” The Pals were twelve girls that met twice a month and their friendship lasted over 62 years.
Betty enjoyed spending endless hours in her beautiful garden.
She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of Mom’s life will take place in April 2012, in Nanaimo.
