It is with heartfelt sorrow and great sadness we announce the passing of our dear and beloved Mom, Grandma, and cherished friend. Elaine Russell Ferneyhough (nee Worthington) 88, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and with her sweet cat Sophie at her feet. We find comfort in knowing that where she is now, there was just as much love waiting for her, as she left here with us.
She was predeceased by her daughter Joan Ann Allen (nee Ferneyhough) and her husband William Charles Ferneyhough. She is survived by her sons Russell, Robert, and Paul Ferneyhough, Daughter in Law Lori, Son in Law Keith, Grandchildren Leasa (Bradon), Janice, Tessa (Daniel), and Duncan.
An outdoor Graveside service and burial will take place for Elaine's Family and friends on Monday, February 14th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Valley Cemetery, 2347 Cedar Road, Nanaimo B.C, V9X 1J7. For those able to attend, please arrive 15 minutes prior, and dress appropriately for the weather. A celebration of Elaine's life will be announced in the coming months.
