Edward P. Sullivan, of Qualicum Beach, B.C., 82, proud father, soldier, story teller, and one of a kind character, passed away March 8, 2018. Ed was the last of nine siblings and is now reunited with them and his mother (Elizabeth) and father (John).

Ed leaves behind five children - Susan, Sheila (Oliver), Sandy, Shelley and Sean, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many relatives across Canada.€Born in St. John's Nfld, Ed joined the Cdn Army (PPCLI) at age 15, lying about his age so he could join big brother Bill in the Korean War. One of the youngest paratroopers in the British Empire, he made it to Japan before being found out and sent back home, to his mother's relief. Ed re-enlisted at age 20 and served as a proud member of the Cdn Army (PPCLI and QOR) for 20+ years. He served as a paratrooper, infantryman, peacekeeper and physical training instructor, proud to have trained many young soldiers in unarmed combat skills. He later served in the BC Sheriff Service.

A great athlete, Ed excelled at gymnastics, martial arts, and swimming. He loved to play card games, billiards and religiously completed crossword puzzles every day. Ed loved music and was an amazing dancer in his day.
