Edward Sampson Skeeles passed away surrounded by his family July 13th 2020 at the age of 84. Our family would like to thank the staff at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for accommodating us the best way they could.
Ed was born in Nanaimo on June 29th 1936. Ed was always working with engines and heavy equipment and started driving trucks for his father at the age of 14 and worked as a heavy equipment operator with Hub City Paving for over 35 years.
Ed always made friends wherever he worked and traveled. He enjoyed traveling to many locales including the Caribbean, Australia, Europe and Mexico. Ed enjoyed life and also volunteered for Cub Scouts, baseball and softball and had a great knuckle ball if you dared to catch it.
Dad is survived and missed by his family, his wife Judy Clifford, daughters Jana (Mark), Paige (Todd Manns), son Brad (Mila), Audrey Plecas, stepsons David (Sarah), Rick (Gayna), Kevin (Leena), Mark (Melissa), his nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
