It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather at home after a battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his parents Earl and Florence, his sister's Eileen and Janet, and his devoted wife of 52 years Arlene. Survived by his loving sons Randy (Diane) and Douglas. Grandchildren Connor, Mitchell, Jacey, and Kyler.

Ed was born in Parksville, BC and grew up on the family farm which is now the site of Woodgrove Mall. He left the farm to become a machinist spending his career at S. Madill Ltd retiring as foreman of the machine shop.

Ed met the love of his life, Arlene marrying in 1959 moving in to their home in Departure Bay where they raised their sons and resided until his passing.

Ed enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing in his younger years. After retirement, he and Arlene spent many happy summers with friends and family at their cabin on Sprout Lake and winters in Yuma, Arizona.

He will be dearly missed. No service by request.
