Earl was a longshoreman for 36 years working the docks in Nanaimo and up and down the Island. Fishing and hunting were his first priorities as long as he had grandsons that shared the same interests. Earl loved to hunt with his sons when they were still at home and then fishing in Kitimat and at Neck Point. Then along came square dancing and round dancing and he was very involved and loved every minute of it. Earl taught round dancing for 14 years and made a lot of good life long friends. Travelling Squares is where you’d find him and Mary every other Saturday night. Earl also served as President of the club for four years and also the W.S.D.A. for two. Earl had such a good sense of humour, he laughed at his own jokes and could also find something to laugh at when times were sad. Earl was a good Dad “The Best” and a friend to all who knew him.

In Memory

God saw Earl getting tired, when a cure was not to be

So he closed his arms around him and whispered

“Come with Me”

He didn’t deserve what he

went through and so he

gave him rest

God’s garden must be beautiful for he only takes the very best.

“Soar with Eagles Earl,

I Love You!”

There will be a Celebration of Life, Saturday, December 20, 2003 at Pleasant Valley Hall from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
