JAMES,

Earl Andrew

May 2, 1937 to November 22, 2015

With sadness we say goodbye to Earl, a beloved husband, loving dad, cherished grandpa, brother and friend as he crosses into God’s light. His wife Margaret, his children Glenn and Lisa, his grandchildren Kevin and Jeremy and brother Wilbur are at peace knowing he is safe in the arms of his parents Jean and Ray and his brother Doug.

Earl was born in Nanaimo and grew up on the farm in Chase River. The friends he made as a boy stayed with him through life and speaks of the love and loyalty we will always remember. After graduation from LeTourneau Technical College in 1960 he returned home to meet the love of his life before working as a Professional engineer at Harmac, Northwood Pulp and NLK in Vancouver.

He enjoyed a good party but loved the outdoors and taught us all how to talk to trees. His travels led him around the globe with family and friends yet his favourite place in the world was his garden. What a full and wonderful life. We’ll miss you.

Many thanks go to family, friends and neighbours for their support and to the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit for their compassion during Earl’s final days. A Celebration of Life will be held on January 2, 2016 at St. Philips Anglican Church on Cedar Road.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity close to your heart.
