September 30, 1928 - November 15, 2011
Passed away peacefully in Nanaimo, BC. A beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Predeceased by her husband of almost 60 years, Ben Buchanan and two sons, Daniel and Michael. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Pat (Allen), Terry, Darrell (Darlene), and Shannon (Ian) as well as her sisters, Joanne (Murray), and Donna (Don) and her brother, Doug (Marj).
“Gram” has left years of teaching and love with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends.
There will be a “Remembrance Tea” held at her granddaughter’s home, Melissa Vasas, at 5670 Malibu Terrace, Nanaimo, BC on December 11, 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Arthritis Society or a charity of your choice.
