1924 – 2009

Martin Rosen passed away suddenly on January 1, 2009.

Beloved husband of Helen (Goldberg), loving father of Denise (Terry), Arthur (Irene), Charles (Susan), Michael (Eva), Mark (Joanne) and Paula. Devoted grandfather of Jason (Melisa), Jessica, Daniel, Noah, Samantha, Joel, Lianne, Nyomi, Erin and Danica. Brother to Arthur (deceased WWII), Sydney and Isabel.

Martin served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II and then graduated from the University of Toronto Medical School in 1950. Martin practiced medicine in Toronto for many years at Mount Sinai Hospital, Doctors Hospital, the Baycrest Centre, and Humber Memorial Hospital, where he served on the hospital board. He left Canada in 1980 and continued in family medicine for 10 years in Vernon, Texas, followed by 5 years on the psychiatric staff at the Vernon State Hospital. Martin then moved to Palm Desert, California where he enjoyed a busy and active retirement.
