It is with great sadness the family of Douglas George Thomas announces his passing. Doug passed away peacefully at home October 6, 2021 with his beloved family at his side and a rainbow in the sky. Doug was born March 14, 1948 and emigrated to Canada from England in the early 1970's, settling in Nanaimo.
He was a floor layer by trade also being employed by Revelstoke Building Supplies, West Fraser and retiring from Home Depot in 2016.
Doug will be lovingly remembered by his wife Doris, son Jason (Kecia) daughter Kim, two grandchildren: Gavin and Kalianna, two sisters, one brother and Cross family. Doug was a very happy guy, loved chatting and loved bright clothes.
After retiring Doug and Doris spent time in Yuma, Arizona and they loved traveling in their VW van and riding his BMW motorcycle together. Doug will be forever missed by his family and friends. "I won't say goodbye" God Bless.
There will be a Private family service at the Ladysmith Cemetery. The family would like to thank Doug's entire medical team. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
