It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Predeceased by her husband, Charles; sisters: Muriel, Eileen, Jean; brother, George; and granddaughter, Darlene. She is survived by her daughter, Anne (George) Foster, Edith (Norval) Wheatcroft, Helen Sherratt, Linda (Don) Wilson; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was such a loving and inspiring woman in all our lives.
Dorothy was born in West Didsbury England, immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband and 4 daughters. She worked as a seamstress at Jean Burns Ladies Wear for over 25 years, altering and fitting many young brides wedding dresses. She loved sewing and creating her own fashion styles, line dancing, and tai chi.
The family will have a private gathering at our Mom’s request. Please take a moment to remember the good times, smile and dance a few steps in her memory.
