Passed away March 25, 2018, at the age of 89, surrounded by her remaining children, Robert and life partner (Peter) and son Donald.
Predeceased by her husband Fredrick George ('92) and son Douglas Gordon ('97), Dorothy was born in Vancouver, BC, then her family moved to Cumberland, where she stayed until age 13. Mom then went back to Vancouver where she worked at the Hotel Vancouver until she was 18. Mom then moved to Victoria where she met dad and was married at age 20, in April 1948.
Mom worked as a waitress for 50 years, at the Empress, Princes Mary, and the James Bay Tea Room, then came out of retirement to waitress in her son Don's restaurant in Nanaimo.
Our mom always had a smile and she loved life. Mom is, and always will be missed.

A Memorial Reception to Honour Dorothy's Life, will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in the Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations In Memory of Dorothy, may be made to a charity of your own choice.
