August 13, 1923 - January 7, 2014
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Chase. Dorothy was a direct descendant of one of the original families to come to Nanaimo aboard the Princess Royal. She also served as a Native Daughter in Post #2 of the Native Daughters of BC. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years John and her daughter Georgina, she is survived by her daughter Carol Lynne, sisters Marjorie and Gertrude, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank all those involved in her care at Lakeside gardens and Nanaimo Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.
