It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished parents, our mother, sister, grandmother, wife and friend, Doris Eileen Trepanier (Severson) on January 10, 2018 in Nanaimo, BC, followed shortly by our father, brother, grandfather, husband and friend Norman Denis Trepanier on January 12, 2018 also in Nanaimo, BC.

They had their children and friends by their side to ease their passing. Their loss is mourned and lives are celebrated by their children Tim (Irini), Todd (Joan), Tracey (Norm), brothers Ronald, Adrian and Jacques (Lorraine) Trepanier, Wes (Pat) Gray, sister-in-laws Margaret and Patricia as well as numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren (Hudson, Terran, Jacqueline, Breanne and Maclain).

Norman was predeceased by his brothers Gerald and Robert of Edmonton, Alberta as well as sisters-in-laws Audrey and Tess of Grande Prairie, AB and Ladner, BC respectively.

Norman and Doris were born, raised, met and married in Edmonton, Alberta. They later took up residence in Grande Prairie, Alberta where Norm worked for the City of Grande Prairie as a Planning and Development Manager and Building Inspector and Doris managed their Horse & Rider Business as well as later becoming a realtor.

They moved to Nanaimo, BC in their retirement and celebrated 57 years of marriage. 

A celebration of their lives will be held on Friday, January 19 at 2:00 pm at the German Club (71 Caledonia Avenue, Nanaimo, BC).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
