April 4, 1926 - July 10, 2018
On July 10, 2018, in a room filled with love and the faint sound of Ella Fitzgerald playing in the background, our sweet Doreen Evelyn Snider passed comfortably after a short but tough battle with cancer.
We are grateful for how much time we had with you, even though it suddenly feels like not enough. We know now more than ever that we will never have another wife, Mom, Grandma, GG, dog-mom, or friend like you. To the woman who inspired us all by simply living the life she did; full of strength, stoicism, pride, independence, kindness, vibrancy, sharp humour and "I can do it, and I'll do it my way" attitude, we will forever miss and cherish you. Thank you for choosing us to be your family and allowing us to call you ours.
Save a seat for all of us at the table with Bert and Gordie, until then we will pour the vodka (and be sure to float the ice) and cheers to you today and always.
