Peacefully and in the company of her family, Donna Muriel Armstrong (nee Shore), beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Nanaimo, BC passed away on Saturday the 7th of April 2018.
Donna was born January 6, 1939 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. She is survived by her loving husband of 56+ years, Howard Robert (Hap) Armstrong, daughters Sheryl Armstrong of Nanaimo, Heather Travers (Ken) of Calgary, and Jacquie Armstrong (James Kirkland) of Rochester, MN, grandchildren Leah, Meghan, Courtney, and Anna, brother Dale Shore of Kelowna, sister Maxine Crook of Toronto ON, many nieces and nephews and our family next door, Don and Lovanna Smith and family.
Predeceased by her parents, Robert Harold (Rube) Shore and Lillian Hunter Shore and sisters Lorraine Shore and Sharon Britton.
Dearly loved by all, her laughter, good spirits, zest for life, and caring for everyone will always be remembered. Playdates with Granny were a highlight for the grandchildren. She loved golf and playing cards. We are sure she is looking for a foursome for bridge. We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
A celebration of life will take place July 29th, 2018 1:00 - 4:00 pm at the Nanaimo Golf and Country Club. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A special thanks to the Nurse Practitioner, RN's, LPN's, RCA'S, Kitchen and cleaning staff at Dufferin Place, in particular the Arbutus wing, for their kindness to Donna and our family.
