July 1, 1927 - March 20, 2020
Donald passed away peacefully March 20, 2020, at his home in Nanaimo. Don was born & raised in Coronation Alberta the 5th of 6 boys to James & Hattie Paugh.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Stan, and wife, Violet.
He is survived by sons, Ed (Sharon), Doug (Sue), Gary (Julie), Wayne (Kim), Warren (Sandra) & daughter Colleen (Chris) Ireland, & many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren.
He moved to Nanaimo in 1950 and worked as a machinist at Harmac until retiring 40 years later. In the summer he was always camping or back in Alberta visiting friends. They loved to travel and later, they would park their motor home at Snaw-Naw-As campground for the summer.
Don has spent his last years living at Colleen's house who has been looking after him since Violet passed away. He was a kind and gentle man who would help anyone who needed it. He will be greatly missed by many who will find comfort in the memories they have together.
There will be a private family service later in the year.
