Born in Dinterloord, the Netherlands, Helena passed away suddenly at her home in Lantzville, BC on January 7, 2020.
Predeceased by her parents (Simon & Dirkje), brothers (Hielke, Simon, & Casper), and sister (Greta). Lovingly remembered by her children Emmanuel, Elicia (Andrew), and Elena (Mike); grandchildren Bethany, Jeremy & Calais; sisters-in-law Cheryl, June & Allyson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews- all of whom she loved and adored.
Helena cherished time spent with family and friends. She had a generous heart and went out of her way to ensure everyone felt loved and included. This love extended to the many "critters" she fed and supported though donations to several organizations including the SPCA, Humane Society, and the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
A celebration of Helena's life will be held on Saturday February 1st at the Lantzville Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations to any of the above animal welfare organizations would be greatly appreciated.
