Jim died peacefully at home June 3, 2018 with his son Ethan Zack and his partner Janette Briere at his side. Writer, singer, activist, Jim will be missed. Our thanks to all who came to fill Jim's last days with music and love, you were the best medicine.
Jim was born in Cleveland Ohio, and raised in Rolla Missouri. Thanks to Jim's little brother Max and son Kristof for their visit and daughter Amber for her support.
We gained Jim when he dodged the draft and have been enjoying his writing, music and political leadership ever since. He has put down his climbing gear and banjo and declared he had no regrets.
