LUOMA, Dick William
Born September 22, 1928, in Chase River to Jacob and Jenny Luoma, passed away peacefully in Nanaimo Hospital June 23, 2006. He leaves to morn his passing wife June, sons Bradley (Sue) and Davin (Sandi), his adored grandson Tyler, brother Jack (Pat) Luoma of Black Creek, nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his sister Lyyra and brother-in-law Alvyn Wilson. Dick began his working life building logging railways and working in the forest. He spent many years with MacMillan Bloedel Chemainus Sawmill Division as a millwright foreman. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and special gatherings with his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church Nanaimo Ecumenical Centre, 6234 Spartan Road, Nanaimo, on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
