Debra Marie Taylor, born August 6th, 1955 passed unexpectedly into the presence of her Lord Monday, February 5th at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Survived by her children Derek Finstad and Tracie (Tyrus, Halle, Eden); Greg Finstad and Alison (Colton, Brody); Karina Smith and Kevin (Declan); parents Doug and Rose Taylor, sisters Karyn Taylor and Pat; Marina Taylor; nephews Andrew Stubbs; Jeff Stubbs and Jessica (Sawyer, Kenna); numerous extended family and dear friends.
Predeceased by her fiance Randy Duff.
Debra was born in Duncan and moved to Nanaimo in 1959 where she attended school, graduating from NDSS in 1973.She attended Western Pentecostal Bible College and Malaspina College. She worked in the office for the Nanaimo RCMP and then for JCW WordAssist, ending up as their senior transcript editor.
Over the years Debra attended Evangelistic Tabernacle, Maranatha Foursquare Church and Hammond Bay Gospel Fellowship where she served as a member of the Deacon Board.
Debra's life revolved around her family and she loved her children and grandchildren immensely.
A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, February 12th, 11:00 am at Maranatha Foursquare Church 6553 Portsmouth Rd, Nanaimo, followed by a reception.
