We celebrate the life of Debra Jean Cox (nee Armstrong), born November 9th, 1960 and passed away surrounded by family and friends on July 11th, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.

She brought smiles and happiness to the lives of all she knew. Preceded by her father, Gary William Armstrong of Fort Langley. She leaves behind her loving husband Richard Cox, sister Marjorie Callaghan, brother Steven Armstrong, mother Jacqueline Armstrong, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

She lived her life fully- sailing the West Coast, antique car rallies, motorcycle and motorhome touring, and finally being involved with back country quadding and hunting. She immersed herself in all she placed her interests in- sci-fi clubbing, cosplay, gardening, quilting and photography.

Family and friends were the most important to her. Though she may have been separated by distance, it did not diminish her fierce loyalty to people close to her. There was no difference between family and friends; we were all her chosen family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at her home at 3465 Planta Road, Nanaimo BC, V9T4W5 on Saturday, August 19th. This will be a time of happiness and laughter, as we share great memories of her time with us.

Your extended family remembers your love, laughter, smile and passion for life. And from this family, the utmost and heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses, care workers and hospice friends who made her final time easier. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, it can only change form. Deb’s energy has been shared between us, making us a stronger family. Destiny permitting, our energies will meet again.

Forever with love.
