David Leslie Bowman

January 16, 1935 – December 28, 2015

It is with great sadness we announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer.

David was born in Chilliwack, BC to Leslie and Doreen Bowman. Dave was predeceased by his mother, father and younger brother Ted. He will be lovingly remembered by his four children Gord (Leanne), Carol, Micheal (Jullie) and Pattie (Chris) Walker; and his sisters Barbara Beggs and Beryl (Harry) Shupe and (sister-in-law) Estelle Bowman, 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces & newphews.

David worked as a commercial fisherman at an early age and then went on to own his own Industrial Painting Business. He had many interests in life including mining, hunting, fishing, horse racing, love of animals, friends and family. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten. We love you Dad.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo on January 16, 2016 at 1pm.
