April 16, 1936 – Oct. 15, 2006

David passed away after long battle with heart disease. Predeceased by Bessie (mother), Austin (father), Richard (stepbrother), Elizabeth (great-granddaughter).

Survived by his loving wife Shirley of 46 years, stepfather Stephan Listwan, daughters Kathleen Parrish (Mike), Darleen Tague, Kelly Tague (Wendy). Grandchildren Melissa (Mike) Eckert, Frank, Timothy, Benjamin Parrish and Lee Tague. Step grandchildren Kelly, Tracey, Terri-Lynn, Andrew and Trevor. Great-granddaughter Rebecca Eckert. Extended family and many good friends.

He served in the Air Force from 1957-1965. Taking an early retirement from Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, Dave and Shirley were able to enjoy several years of travelling, camping and fishing. He was also an avid Amateur Radio Operator and an active member of Oceanside Radio Communications Assoc.

Having shared his life and love with his family and friends, Dave will be greatly missed.

At David’s request it will be a private family service.
