OHLSON, Darcy Lee
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, nephew, cousin, friend and father Darcy Lee Ohlson.
Darcy was born June 28th, 1967 in High River Alberta to parents JC and “Gramma” Judy. As a child Darcy was always smiling and making everyone laugh. He had an enormous spirit that was shared through his charisma. Darcy was always an entrepreneur at heart and has created many successful businesses. He loved all motor sports and you could always find Darcy in the mountains snowmobiling, tearing it up on his motorbike or wrenching in the shop with “the guys”. Darcy had a love for food and cooking and was always hosting Sunday BBQ dinners at his house for his family and friends.
Sadly Darcy leaves behind the light and love of his life his three beautiful children Alexandra (Sara, Tyler, Charlie), Dawson (Natacha, Ryan, Malaya) and Gabriel (Heather). Darcy loved his children more than anything in this world. He will be greatly missed by his brothers, Dale (Rachel) and Darryl; his Gramma Nufer (Millie); Auntie Bev (Don); Uncles Gerry a.k.a. “Buster” (Sharon) Greg (Sally) and Reg, plus numerous cousins and extended family.
Darcy was predeceased by his grandparents, Mont and Mary Ohlson; grandfather, Wally Nufer and his Uncle Barney. Darcy was well loved by his enormous family of friends. Darcy’s generosity and his love for life is what made him such a special person in all of our lives.

A Celebration of Life, in memory of Darcy, will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel on Monday, May 7th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Ohlson Family bursary at Aspengrove School (250) 390-2201 to assist in Darcy’s childrens education fund.
