Daniel (Danny) Herman passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 24, 2020.
Danny was born in Prince George in 1942, raised and graduated at NDSS in Nanaimo, B.C.
At a young age Danny had a talent for drawing and was inspired by his art teacher to further his gift as an artist.
After graduating school Danny worked at Harmac in Nanaimo and then went to BCIT to become an instrument technician.
He then moved to the interior for several years before moving to Lac la Biche, AB to work for Sun Oil. He later decided to become a full-time artist and moved back to Kelowna, B.C.
He retired in Victoria, B.C. and still continued his art work. He later moved to Ladysmith where he met his wife Hannah and got into the karaoke scene.
He was very surprised he could actually sing and enjoyed all the friends he got to know.
Danny's personality was larger than life with that big smile and made friends easily Danny was predeceased by his parents William and Olga and his brother Bob.
He is survived by his wife Hannah: daughter Susan (Karl); son Michael; brother Roy; nieces Elizabeth (Joris) and Tasha (Adrian).
The family would like to thank the staff at the Nanaimo Palliative Care for the wonderful care Danny received.
A service will be held at a later date.
