July 20, 1960 ~ November 11, 2010

Craig Schmidt, of Nanaimo passed?away last Thursday night at home, at the age of 50.

He was a long-time employee of Total Delivery Systems, beginning as a part-time courier in 2000, working his way up to his current position as Nanaimo Operations Manager.

Craig was born on July 20, 1960 in New Westminster’s Royal Columbian Hospital. For a time he lived in Port Alberni, Pitt Meadows and Red Deer, Alberta, where he worked for CKRD-AM Radio and restaurants.

In the early 1980s he moved to Nanaimo; working for 7-Eleven stores, installing vacuums, doing security and stocking vending machines. As a part-time disc-jockey, Craig enjoyed spinning records and playing tapes. He thrived getting on the microphone to make sure everyone got up to dance and have fun at wedding receptions, anniversaries or birthday parties. He loved people, socializing, traveling and sports. He loved playing slot machines, drinking tea, the COPS television show and lending a hand to anyone and everyone he knew or just met.

Craig was – Just such a great guy.

Craig will – Always be missed by so very many.
