Jean passed away at peace in her suite at Astoria with her family by her side.
Jean was an extraordinary woman whose sharp mind, quest for knowledge and stoicism guided her throughout her life. The cherished wife of James W. Reid (1925 - 2000) and lovingly remembered by her family; Dick Reid (Lynn), Jay Reid (Leticia), Sherry Reid Danner, grandchildren, Timothy Reid (Nathalie), Leigh Reid (Vanessa) and great grandchildren, Liam and Eli, sons of Timothy and Nathalie.
And, a grateful thank you to Elaine and Doug Calder for their support and devotion over the years.
A special thanks to Dr Meghan Towers and RN Suzie Cohen for their immeasurable knowledge, guidance, caring and compassion at a very difficult time in the life of our loved one.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the staff of Astoria at Origins at Longwood for the special care, kindness and devotion they gave to Jean. As well, we would like to offer special thanks to Judi Carter, Barb Grubb, Rhonda Scudds and Dorothy, Dayyna, Lisa, Mariah, Tracey, Charlie, and Penny for their help, assistance, caring and professionalism at this difficult time and in the years passed while Jean lived at Origins.
