It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our son, grandson, brother, and great-uncle Colin Smillie at age 37. Predeceased by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. Colin is survived by his father Rick Smillie, mother Georgia Kenzie, stepfather Terry Kenzie, brother Norm Smillie, sister-in-law Laurie Smillie, grandmother Thelma Neale, and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Colin had a great love for the game of hockey, fishing, and volunteering. A memorial service was held Friday, March 13, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Elim Tabernacle, 3946 Wallace St., Port Albernie. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Children's Hospital Foundation, c/o Tribute Program, 938 West 28th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4H4.
