COLIN ANDREW BIGG
September 22, 1970 ~ July 30, 2009
Colin Bigg, of Nanaimo, B.C. passed away suddenly and unexpectedly with his family by his side. Colin was a brilliant artist and musician. He touched so many lives and was loved by many people. Colin had great knowledge and understanding of history, art, music, geography, architecture and other fields.
He loved all animals great and small. Colin was an honest, sensitive and deeply caring man. He was on a steady course and was beginning to achieve much of his great potential.
He enjoyed his work helping others at Crescent House and preparing meals given to those in need. He had just begun volunteering at the new community art studio, Studio 366 in Nanaimo.
Colin was the son of Silke Bigg (Gabriola Island) and the late Dr. Michael Bigg, Grandson of Marga Hansen. He was brother to Michelle Bigg, brother-in-law to Mark Jonah, Uncle to Michael and Markus Jonah-Bigg and had many relatives and good friends across the country.
A celebration of his life and art will be held at 1:00 on Sept. 19th at the Nanaimo Yacht Club, 400 Newcastle Ave.
