It is with great sadness we said goodbye to our beloved Wife/ Mother/Nanny, Charlotte Williams at Palliative Care (NRGH).
She is predeceased by her parents Thelma and Bill Raines and in-laws Margaret and Baden Williams, and brother and sister Billy and Vivian Raines, and brother-in-law Danny Williams.
Charlotte was born in Nanaimo and grew up in the Cedar area. She married Jim Williams Aug. 13/1955 and spent 62 years as his wife in the wonderful North Oyster Community. Jim and Charlotte have lived in their family home for the past 56 years where they raised their 3 daughters. Over the years Charlotte enjoyed reading, playing piano, sewing, crafting, flower arranging, community work, current events, healing touch and helping others. Above all she loved time with her family and her visits with her dear friend Irene.
Charlotte is loved and dearly missed by her husband Jim, daughters Sherri (Howie), Wendy (Floyd) and Jeanene and her many surrogate sons. Nanny's love and memories will be cherished by her grandchildren Jamie (Crystal), Amanda (James), Adam (Kylee), Debralyn, Jayden and Cameron as well as great grandchildren Tristin, Marcus, Ashton, Peyton, Piper and her namesake Charlotte Rose. She will be missed by family and her dearest friends. Family would like to thank Dr. Kazanowski, Dr. Booth, the Nurses, Doctors and Support Teams at the Renal and Palliative Care Units for their excellent care provided for Charlotte.
Also special thanks to her Home Care Workers and the staff at Bowen Road Central Drugs. A tea will be held on
Saturday, October 21st
from 2 - 4pm at the
North Oyster Community Centre located
at 13467 Cedar Road.
Charlotte fought a long hard battle with kidney disease and is now at peace. Donations, if wishing, may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice in Charlotte's memory.
