March 14, 1933 - December 31, 2019
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing December 31st of Cecil Harold McCulloch husband, father and friend to many. Cec was born March 14th 1933 in Wawanesa, Manitoba to Mary and Harold McCulloch, the youngest of three brothers. He moved to Winnipeg as a teenager and soon began his career with Air Canada spending 29 years working his way up to customer service manager at Winnipeg Airport.
Cec and Arlene married in 1956 enjoying 63 very precious years together and becoming the parents of two beautiful daughters, Leslie and Deanne
He was fortunate to retire at the age of 50 and in 1986 came west to Victoria where they enjoyed the beauty of the island then in 1994 they chose Nanaimo as their permanent home.
Cec's talents were unending as his many friends will attest to. He could fix anything and did so at every opportunity. To Cec everything had a use and consequently nothing was thrown out! He lent his talents to the Nanaimo Hospital auxiliary as the chief watch fixer. His eager willingness to help will be sorely missed by all.
His love of music and his wonderful singing voice lent him the opportunity to join the choir at Trinity Catholic Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Arlene daughter Leslie Ann George and husband Kent George, daughter Deanne Marie Wellington and husband Corey Wellington, also his oldest brother Alan McCulloch and family and his two angels Christopher and Cynthia who are up in heaven waiting for Dad.
