CROOKS: CECIL GILBERT
1925-July 28, ’02
Born and raised in Nova Scotia, entered Canadian Armed Forces at age 18 and was stationed in many areas of Eastern Canada and Alberta. Cecil was a Captain in the Air Force, transferring as Supervisor in Civil Services to his last posting in Alberta. He and his family retired in Nanaimo, B.C. in 1987. Predeceased by: His wife Elizabeth (Betty) 1992, 3 brothers Courtney & Kitchner (Nova Scotia); Jerald (Ontario). Survived by: Two sons John in Nanaimo; Brian in Korea; 2 brothers: Jim (wife June) – Ontario; Elliott (wife Audrey) – Nova Scotia; 2 sisters: Velma Baker – Nova Scotia; Ada Sims – Ontario; Sisters-in-law: Betty & Ann Crooks – Nova Scotia; Brothers-in-law: Doug Casey – Halifax; Nieces and nephews across Canada.
